Holding your own fundraising event
The work we do at Buttercups is completely reliant on the generosity of the general public. Could you help us by holding your own fundraising event and donating the proceeds to Buttercups?
You can hold any sort of event you like (as long as it's legal!), but here are some suggestions to start you thinking:
- Parachute jump
- Sponsored slim
- Sponsored walk, run, cycle, swim, or, if you’re a masochist, all three!
- Make and sale – make cakes, cards, or anything you’re good at, or grow plants and sell them off
- Garage or car boot sale
- Caption competition – choose a funny photo from the last family or office party and charge friends or colleagues to come up with a comic caption
- Hold an auction of promises – ask friends and colleagues to donate their time for gardening, babysitting, dog walking, and all kinds of household chores, and auction off their offers
- Hold a raffle – of goods or promises
- Hold a dress down day in the office
Proceeds can either be handed in at an open day to our information desk or, alternatively, please contact us.
