Guardianship SchemeFor £300 p.a., you can become the 'guardian angel' for a goat of your choice. The cost of keeping one goat varies depending upon the type of goat, its age and state of health, and the facilities one provides. However, we estimate that it costs Buttercups in the region of £300 p.a. in food, hay, straw, worming, tools, etc for each animal in our care. By donating £300 p.a., become the sole sponsor of a goat. It's like owning your own goat, without the daily restrictions of caring for him or her! Either donate £300 in one lump sum or split the payment into monthly instalments of £25 by completing our standing order form. |

BenefitsIn return, receive a personalized certificate with a photo of your goat. Come and see them any morning; brush and comb them, take them for a walk, and as a special treat give them a bath and shampoo if you wish! Occasionally, if you feel energetic, you may feel like helping to clean out their pen. If you wish to visit your goat, just make sure you contact us first. In addition, if you wish to know more about goat husbandry, you are invited to be a guest at one of the many goat husbandry workshops held at the sanctuary - see events for dates. Picking your goatAny goat is available under the guardianship scheme, except new arrivals or those already assigned to guardians, syndicates or adoptive parents. Either visit us to choose a goat yourself, pick an available goat from our list, or contact us to help choose one. Also contact us if you would like more details about this scheme. Please note; many of our goats are mature in age (around 12 is a fair age) & some have health issues. Where possible, this information is given, but goats seldom come in with confirmed dates of birth (DOB) so we often have to guestimate them, and with so many animals to track inaccuracies in information is possible. If the good health of the goat you pick is a primary concern, please contact us for advice. If the worst happens and we lose a goat mid-sponsorship, you will be offered the chance to select another. Joining the schemeTo become a guardian angel, please complete this form. Either send us a cheque or complete a standing order form if you prefer.
