Buttercups is a Kent-based sanctuary that provides a home for neglected and abused goats, or for those simply in need of a new place to stay. Our very first goats arrived in 1989 and numbers have steadily increased until now, where we have about 215 goats in our care. Find out more about Buttercups here, or discover more about the goats we have rescued here. We also have a short video trailer about our goats and the work we do. The Patron for Buttercups is the Rt. Hon. Ann Widdecombe. Please contact us if you are worried about the welfare of any goat and we will do our best to help

Please helpAs a small charity, we are totally reliant on the generosity of the general public to survive. Although we have many fantastic supporters, with food and veterinary care bills to cover for over 100 goats, many of whom are in poor health and need expensive care, Buttercups needs a steady income to be able to continue its work. There are many ways you can help us, either financially or by donating your time. We are also launching two new ways you can help: Syndicate a Goat - ideal for those interested in becoming the sole sponsor of one of our goats for a year but who find our popular guardianship scheme unaffordable. Split the cost between a group of upto 4 friends or family members.Create a permanent memorial to a loved one by dedicating a plaque and placing it at Buttercups. |

Visiting ButtercupsAs a small organisation, we are not generally open to the public except for open days or special events. Open days offer a fun day out for the family, and run from May through to October on the first Sunday in every month. There is also usually an additional open day just before Christmas. Find out more about our open days and events here |
