Some goats require daily attention with medication or, perhaps if a new goat has arrived at the Sanctuary, a little TLC with some hands on and a brush.

All the goats have their own small pen (or share) and these have to be cleaned and fresh straw and sawdust put down. A daily check of the water buckets is also made and they are topped up or cleaned as necessary. On most days we finish around 11.30am.

Volunteers

The work that we do here at Buttercups could not be achieved if it were not for our loyal band of volunteers. Perhaps you may also feel that you could assist us in our work by giving up a few hours a week to be a helper.

You will need your own transport, live within the Maidstone area and be 18 years old or more. Our daily routine begins at about 9.00am (or a little earlier if you can make it). The goats will be receiving their morning meal at this time and whilst this is happening the paths will require sweeping and the many outside hay racks will require filling.

If you feel you may be able to help one morning a week why not give it a go!
