The Hay Fundraiser
We estimate that the Buttercups goats each consume on average around one bale of hay, every two weeks (depending on size and constitution). When you take into consideration that the herd is currently around the 150 mark, you can understand how the number of bales required to keep our goats fed quickly gets very high, and is likely to increase further throughout the colder months. There is currently a hay shortage in the South East of the UK, meaning the price of a bale has increased, and this is particularly bad news given the current Covid restrictions. We are therefore asking for your assistance! For just £5, you can purchase a goat a bale of hay, and keep them happily fed for around two weeks. If you would like to buy some hay for a specific goat, please write their name in the comments box. The goats will be very very greatful for any help you would be willing the give.
