Legacies & Bequests

By remembering the Sanctuary in your Will you can enable us to continue and extend our work to protect those goats in need.  Your legacy or bequest will also mean that you can take advantage of the substantial tax privileges that are available to encourage such support. Legacies or bequests can substantially reduce or even eliminate the tax payable on the balance of an estate and are themselves totally exempt from inheritance tax.

You may not think that your estate will incur inheritance tax.  However, you may be surprised how quickly the value of your house and contents, savings and insurance policies, reaches the threshold of inheritance tax liability.  Anything over the sum allowed will normally incur tax unless left to a surviving spouse or a registered charity.

It is advisable to consult a Solicitor to ensure that your Will is legal and valid.  If you choose to make your own Will the following is an appropriate wording for a legacy;

I hereby bequeath to the Trustees of the Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats, Registered Charity number 1099627 Wierton Park, Wierton Roadl, Boughton Monchelsea, Maidstone, Kent, ME17 4JW, the sum of £_ free of all taxes and other fiscal impositions and the Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being shall be good discharge for my executors.

If you are amending an existing Will all you need is the following simple codicil;
By this codicil to my last Will I give to the Trustees of the Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats, the Sum of £_

Be sure to sign the amendment and have it signed by two witnesses.

Sponsored Goat Visit

Lovely couple of hours spent relaxing amongst all the goats. The atmosphere is wonderful and you could honestly sit and watch them all day. Will happily come back with friends/family.

Best Relaxant Ever

I just love sitting, petting the very happy goats. If you are stressed it is the biggest stress reliever ever!!! Love that everything you spend money on will go towards looking after the goats. I will be visiting as often as possible.

Well Worth A Visit

Well worth a visit. Very child-friendly. Goats clearly loved and well cared for. Very hands-on experience for visitors. Helpful, cheerful staff. Had a lot of fun here.

A gentle sanctuary for goat and visitors

A lovely relaxing place. Great to see the Goats just roaming free. Plenty of willing goats looking for a gentle fuss, plus the opportunity to feed some of them if you purchase a bag of goat feed for £1. Definitely worth the visit.
