About Us: At Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats, we are a Registered Charity dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for goats that have been rescued from various situations, including abandonment, abuse and neglect. Our Sanctuary serves as a haven for these gentle creatures, offering them love, care, and respect. We believe in promoting compassion for animals, educate the public on the best standards of goat welfare and fostering a community of animal lovers who share our values.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Tearoom and Volunteer Coordinator. This role is vital to the daily operations of our Charity, as it involves overseeing the operations of our tearoom facility and develop an extension of volunteers, to assistant with public facing duties and to work alongside our already well-established team of volunteers dedicated animal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tearoom Operations: Oversee the day-to-day functionality of our tearoom, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. This includes managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our management team to create a menu and range of products that aligns with our sanctuary's values and appeals to our visitors.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their experience at our tearoom is memorable and enjoyable.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Assist with recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers to assist with various tasks around The Sanctuary, including welcoming visitors, taking orders and general sanctuary maintenance.
  • Training and Support: Provide ongoing training and support to volunteers, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between The Sanctuary and the local community, fostering positive relationships and promoting our mission and values.
  • Event: Assist with the planning and execution of special events hosted at The Sanctuary, such as fundraisers, workshops, and educational programs.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or volunteer coordination preferred.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to our Charity's mission.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
