Buttercups Annual Photography Competition 2010

A chance to share your photography skills with others and to win a prize!

The theme is Buttercups so, as long as one of our goats appears somewhere in the photo, the rest is down to your imagination, skill, and perhaps a touch of luck. There are two categories - under 16 and 16+. Each category has a prize for the winner and two runners up. The winning photographs will be announced and can be seen at the last open day in October 2010. Winners will be determined by a panel of three judges headed by Bob Hitch, founder and Chairman of the sanctuary.

To enter, print off your photographs to a maximum size of 8 X 6 inches, and ensure your name and age group is written on the back of each photo. Entries must be accompanied by a completed copy of the entry form, and should be sealed in an envelope labelled with 'Buttercups Photo Competition' and the category you are entering (so, either 'under 16's' or '16+'). Entries can be handed in on open days, either at the entrance desk or to the information desk. Alternatively, they can be posted to the sanctuary. Entries are limited to a maximum of five photographs per person, and the entry cost is a minimum donation of £1.00 per photograph to the sanctuary.

Full details and rules of the competition will be posted here nearer the competition start date.

Halloween Dance

Saturday 30th October. 7:30 to 11:30 pm. Coxheath Village Hall. Dancing to Unit Five, a live five piece band. They play a wide range of music - chart hits of today, hits from the 60s, 70's 80's and 90's, ballroom, and swing. Unit Five are professional and versatile, with a strong stage presence. They deliver a high quality vocal performance, and their front man, Tony, had a top 40 hit in the charts in the 60's under the stage name of Dorian Grey.

Entrance is by ticket - cost £12 per person, including a buffet supper. Please book tickets in advance using this form.
